  • Hi Jonathan and welcome. This is a manufacturer item with a stock and presumed to be attached to a rifle upper and most FFL will transfer it as a rifle. Without the shoulder stock, most would transfer it as a receiver. Cheers and stay safe!

  • Hi Jonathon, it should be transferred a a 'receiver', because it is not yet a rifle or a pistol. Some FFL's will only transfer it a a long gun, but if they tell you it must be done that way, they are mistaken.
So if you want it transferred as a receiver, I would call the FFL and ask what their policy is for transferring receivers.
If it is transferred as a rifle, you can not remove the stock, put a brace on, and turn it into a pistol.
Stay safe & have a great day!
