Yes, it utilizes an Action nut and is not pinned.
I bought this model a few years back and have had no issues with it. Changed it up by replacing the 26" ribbed barrel with an OEM 18.5" security barrel, heat shield, ATI Talon adjustable stock, piccatinny sidesaddle rail mount for red dot and a red anodized aluminum follower. A lot of aftermarket support for the Mossberg models!
