John, this has a 3 inch chamber so 2.5 and 3 inch shells will fit and function just fine. This does not use a choke system. If the owners manual says not to use buckshot and slugs I probably wouldn't recommend doing so but you can always contact the manufacturer at 1-800-948-8029 Monday - Friday

John, yes sir, the Brawler has a 3" camber. It has a 9-inch alloy steel barrel with a 1:24 RH twist. From the owner's manual - "Do not use slug ammunition. Slugs are unsafe in these guns."
