Can sabot slugs be used in this gun accurately and safely without hurting the barrel?
Paul, yes but Foster type Rifled Slugs work best through the Cylinder Choke as far as accuracy. Cheers and stay safe!
Paul, safely yes, accurately no. It won't hurt the barrel at all it just won't be very accurate because sabot slugs need a rifled barrel to spin. So you can but for the best accuracy I'd recommend rifled slugs. Hope this helps.

Paul, they will "work" but accuracy suffers and there is no reason to spend the extra money for sabot slugs if you are going to shoot them through a smooth bore. You want rifled, or foster type slugs, and you want to use improved cylinder, or cylinder choke for best accuracy. Have a great day!
