  • Peter, yes this is NJ compliant. You do not need a pistol permit, all you need is your NJ Firearms ID purchaser's card. This is the non-threaded barrel, you can even go with a threaded barrel model if you'd like. I am also in NJ, I have the threaded barrel and installed a muzzle brake on mine. Just an option you may not have been aware of. You can have a threaded barrel as long as you don't have any other 'evil' features. Here is one that is NJ compliant >>> budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/113038/ruger+pc+car+9mm+rfl+10+b+threaded+barrel+ffh .... NJ gun restrictions here >>> budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/new_jersey_restrictions.pdf .....Have a great day!

  • Peter, it is NJ compliant and even though it is a Pistol Caliber it is still classified as a Carbine/Rifle and your your NJ Firearms ID purchaser's card is sufficient along with your Drivers License. Cheers and stay safe!

  • Ok that makes sense, I laugh about it now, but the left in Oregon are constantly trying to butcher our 2A rights, and with our constant influx of Californians and left indoctrination in the schools, its likely that eventually we'll be in the same boat (then instead of laughing ill be crying) but who knows maybe SCOTUS will learn the meaning of "THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" and we can get rid of the patch work of tyrannical gun laws nationwide

  • Paul, because it looks cool and I cannot have a flash hider or suppressor in NJ.

  • One thing I do need to question about edwards answer though is why would you put a muzzle brake on a 9mm carbine?🤔😂🤣😂🤣

  • Peter, the answer Edward have is spot on. Others on the community will likely copy Edwards answer and present the info as if they researched themselves, they didn't. They copied Edward's answer. And besides being an NJ resident he's pretty smart with the state compliant stuff (all states, but especially NJ).
