Taurus 692 357 Magnum / 38 Special / 9mm Revolver
I notice the 692 stainless shoots .38(+P), but it's not listed under for the black version 692. Is there a reason for that since they are the same model? Need a little help on this one..

If the difference you're asking is about is just the +P, it is simply missing in some of the automatically generated descriptions. 38 Special +P is fine for either 692 model and more generally, any firearm chambered for 357 Magnum with the exception of some uncommon semi-auto 1911 models.

Carl, both will shoot 38 Special no issue Sir. They are rated the exact same by Taurus so no worries. Cheers and stay safe!

Carl, both are chambered for 357 Magnum Wich has a higher chamber pressure than 38+p. So either will handle 38+p ammunition just fine. Hope this helps.
