  • Roger, this does not have a manual thumb safety. This has a trigger blade safety and an internal drop safety so it won't fire if dropped. Hope this helps.

  • No oddly enough the LCPII has 3 types of safes and LCP9 has 2 types of safes but the MAX has only 1 IE: no manual safety just a Glock type trigger safety, though on the bright side. I have shot this gun and the trigger is very stiff about a 5-6lb pull regardless, you should always use a holster with trigger safety only guns, especially these pocket models. Stay safe!
