Is the CENT ARMS AP5 9MM 9" 2-30RD Black considered a pistol or a SBR?
Daniel, it is classified as a standard Handgun/Pistol due to no Shoulder Stock and less than 16 inch barrel. Cheers and stay safe! A Brace would not change the classification from a Pistol as pictured here : blackrosefirearms.com/century-arms-ap5-mp5-clone-w-telescopic-arm-brace-9mm
Daniel, this is considered a pistol. In order for this to be a short barreled rifle you would have to add a stock to it. You can add a pistol brace, but a stock makes it a sbr and requires a $200 tax stamp. Hope this helps

Daniel, the ATF classifies this as a pistol. If you add a stock, then it becomes a SBR. You can add a pistol brace and still keep the pistol classification.
