  • I bought this gun for my wife nice looking gun and feels good in your hand the only problem is when I shot it the group is all over the target one shot was low to the left and others were high and low to the right never hit the target out of 8 rounds fired out of the gun I know its only 3.1 in barrel but I thought it would be better that that and that's was at about 25 yards from the target. do they all shoot like this and I was using rem. 115gr. hollow point ammo

  • Practice is going to be the key here. Smaller guns are harder to shoot but easier to carry. It’s worth the effort to put in the practice required to become proficient with smaller guns since that is likely what you will be carrying. I would suggest getting some snap caps and practice dry firing for a week then return to the range. When the gun clicks it should stay on target and not move. Once you can consistently do that dry firing then do it the same way with live ammo at the range.

  • I would try a better ammo and shorter distances to see if your groups tighten up. Smaller firearms are sometimes hard to get small groupings. Hope it works out Bobby!

  • I own one and get to shoot many at the range I work at when people have problems hitting the target and decide the gun is the problem. I can usually group shots under 2 inches at 11 yards with them. Get some snap caps and practice dry firing and keeping the sights on target after the trigger breaks. It's hard to shoot a pistol and even harder shooting the little ones. It takes lots of practice.

  • 25 yards is a a long shot for a 3.1 inch barrel. I would start out at about 25 FEET and see what it does also try it in a rest. If accuracy is still not there have someone else try it as sometimes there at certain guns that I just can not shoot (but are great for others ) The smaller the gun the harder it is to be consistent

  • I have owned two SCCY's and they both had decent accuracy. I would try a few more ammunition brands before coming to a conclusion though. I will tell you that the most accurate round in my particular pistols is the Magtech 95gr Jacketed Soft Point. High velocity, low recoil and flew straight. Be mindful of your shooting technique for the sake of consistency. If you get the same dismal performance from some other different brands, then it would be safe to say it's the pistol. I would then contact SCCY for a resolution.
