  • Paul, this pistol would be a solid 8.5. I own several Canik's and this is a full size competition inspired pistol. The longer barrel, sights and ergonomics are competition inspired. For better concealed carry the smaller siblings will be better suited. Caniks are just as rugged and reliable as Glocks and are a better bang for your buck. Cheers and stay safe!

  • On q scale of 1-10 I'd give this an 8-8.5. for the price you aren't going to get much better in my opinion. I have the cheaper canik tp9 sf elite and absolutely love it, very accurate, great trigger, fits my hands perfectly, manages recoil nicely all around great gun. As for what you should buy this would be a great starter pistol, other than that lots of 9mm ammunition to practice. Hope this helps.
