August, Commercial simply means a firearm or accessory was designed for civilians as opposed to Military Specifications. Mil-Spec firearms are usually more robust in the durability dept. compared to their Commercial counterparts. I.E higher round count durability testing, higher pressure ammunition capability etc. Cheers and stay safe!

It pretty much means meant for general population and not military. Government models differ from commercial/citizens models. Hope this helps.
