Thomas, yes it will Sir. The 2.0 will likely never be CA submitted by S&W. CA makes it difficult and expensive. You can see the sheer number of manufacturers that told CA to kick rocks as attested to models that used to be compliant but were not renewed by makers here (and the list grows thinner) : oag.ca.gov/firearms/de-certified-handguns
