Legal
You can buy, sell, transfer, transport, give away (legally), etc. this revolver. This is 100 percent legal in our state. Not all single actions are allowed. These are.
Jerret, yes Sir. Most Single Action Revolvers are Grand Fathered in on the CA DOJ Roster : Permissible handguns that are NOT on the handgun roster: ------ ✔Single-action revolvers that have at least a 5 round capacity with a barrel length of at least 3inches and an overall length of at least 7½ inches are permitted. ---- ✔Single-shot pistols that are top-break or bolt-action with a barrel length of at least 6 inches and have an overall length of at least 10½ inches are permitted.
These are allowed in California.

Yes, single-action revolvers with a capacity of at least 5 rounds, barrel length of at least 3", and overall length of at least 7.5" are exempt from the roster which is the reason you see the Rough Rider in stores as well. budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf
