no you do not the cylinder is cut for the 50 AE (just like a 50 ae barrel) also be aware that the picture is incorrect and that the cylinder is much shorter that the cylinder shown see the short cylinder here magnumresearch.com/bfr-big-frame-revolver/

Matthew, no Sir. The cartridge will headspace on the case wall so no special device is needed to properly chamber the rounds in the cylinder is needed.
